Team Awards
New Team Challenge incentives for 2012!
The first 50 Team Captains to start their team (captain must be first to register and assign team name) will receive a special commemorative tote bag loaded with goodies to support team building and donation growth- online is the quickest easiest way to start your team!!!!!!!
The first 12 Teams with over 50 members will be eligible for a FREE TEAM Tent- other Team Tent space available for $1000. Donation please call 304-556-4808 for details
The 2012Susan G. Komen West Virginia Affiliate Race for the Cure® is all about TEAMS!Our Race teams can change history—the history of breast cancer—by helping the Komen West Virginia Affiliate Race for the Cure reach record-breaking levels of Race participation and fundraising. A Race for the Cure team is a group of 10 or more participants who join together for the Race season to have fun and raise funds to empower the breast cancer movement.
Team Awards
Team awards help drive the friendly competition that makes each year better than the last! Numbers for awards are calculated for registrations and donations received by a May 5th Race Day. Team members may continue to register and raise funds up to 60 days following race. However, any registrations or funds collected after the cut-off date, May 5th 2012,will not be considered for award calculation purposes.
We recognize the following Team Award Categories:
- Health Care Facilities,
- Corp. Teams,
- Friends and Family Teams,
- School Challenge Teams
- Largest Team in Each Category
- Overall Top Fundraising Team in each category
- Best Team T-shirt Design - Create your own T-shirts! Whatever you can think of. Your imagination is the limit! (Please no Pink shirts as we reserve Pink for our Survivors. And be sure to ask about using the official team insignia graphic! No Race for the Cure logos, please)
The Best Team T-shirt design is determined by funds raised with more detail to follow.
This year the Awards will be presented at a Special Power Park Recognition Celebration in June- so collect and turn in donations up to and on Race Day- then help celebrate our Successes at a special party to celebrate our Sponsors and Donors and Race Participants!
